Peruvian production also remains challenged by warmer winter weather, while growers continue prioritizing higher-priced export markets. Although boat arrivals have increased, overall supply and quality concerns are expected to persist into the fall. MI season has ended.
Markets remain steady as the Negra crop winds down and Flora Loca becomes the primary variety. Dry matter levels remain in the mid-to high 30% range for Negra and the mid-20% range for Flora Loca, with shippers working to minimize checkerboarding by keeping the crops separate. MARKET ON WATCH

Washington potatoes are showing excellent quality, with mid-sizes peaking while large and smaller counts remain limited. Florida colored potatoes will continue for another week or two, with yellow varieties tight and reds in a better position. North Carolina sweet potato supplies remain limited until new crop begins.

Peaches, plums, and nectarines are in full production with excellent quality and favorable pricing. Small plums are especially promotable. Tomato markets remain firm due to tight supplies and steady demand, with Roma and greenhouse tomatoes facing the most pressure. Southeast production is increasing, which should improve availability in the coming weeks, though freight will continue to impact sourcing decisions.
