Tomatoes, peppers, squash, and other summer crops are settling into the fields, while leafy greens, radishes, and herbs continue to thrive. A very wet spring turned into a very dry late May, so we are regularly watering and mulching, plus weeding efforts are helping young plants establish strong roots as temperatures begin to rise.
Pollinator activity has increased throughout the farm, with bees and beneficial insects hard at work among flowering crops and native plants. These important visitors play a key role in supporting healthy harvests throughout the season.
We have some very, dare I say, sexy lettuce coming out of the fields right now! Multiple varieties means a variety of colors, textures and flavors. Lettuce can sometimes feel boring, but we promise that these varieties are anything but. June is the best time for lettuce, so get it now.
